We apply corporate social responsibility in every aspect of our business: in water, sanitation, sport and facilities management, but also in support services.

Sustainable Business Charter

On 27 June 2024, for the 13th year in a row, we were awarded Voka’s Sustainable Business Charter in recognition of our sustainability efforts. This charter focuses on continuous improvements in performance with a focus on environmental, social and economic themes.

SDG Champion UNITAR

Since 2017, the Voka Sustainable Business Charter has focused on the 17 United Nations sustainable development goals (SDGs). 

In recent years, our company has managed to achieve at least one action within each development goal. Which is why since 25 October 2022, we have been certified as an SDG Champion. This is a wonderful acknowledgement of the hard work of many committed colleagues!

Here’s how we do it

We mobilize our employees to do their part, integrate new technologies where we can, and look in a focused way for opportunities big and small to make a difference. Some examples:

• Project Ganzepoot in Nieuwpoort

• Electrification of company cars and pool cars

• Energy scans of our own park and sports facilities

• Integration of SDGs into model specifications.

• Circular economy: collection of old clothing and sustainable processing in new applications and raw materials

• Attention to fair trade: FairTrade@work (coffee, cocoa, sugar, tea and speculaas), Fair Trade charter since 2018

• Digital data capture of water and energy

• Electronic invoicing to customers
